Message from the Archdiocese of Southwark: No Place for Racism
In June 2020, St Elizabeth’s School received a communication from the Diocesan Education Commission with a message from the Bishops specifically for the young people in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Southwark.
The letter is called ‘No Place for Racism’ and refers to the words of Pope Francis who commenting on the death of George Floyd on 25 May 2020. Pope Francis said ‘We cannot tolerate or turn a blind eye to racism and exclusion in any form.’
We shared this letter from the Archdiocese with parents of our school. Please click here to read the Message from the Archdiocese of Southwark: No Place for Racism dated 17 June 2020.
