On Tuesday, we had a lovely Easter Mass with Fr Francis Lynch from St Winefride’s parish. Thank you to Y4 for preparing Mass for us and for speaking so well.
Our Y5 pupils are getting very excited about their school journey next week to the Isle of Wight and I am equally excited to be accompanying them! The Isle of Wight provides an amazing learning opportunity for the children and helps them to develop their independence.
The summer termly dates have been sent this week and as you can see we have an exciting term ahead. Please do note key dates in your diary and we look forward to seeing you at these school events.
Our School May Fair is fast approaching! This year’s fair promises to be a lot of fun and there will be many activities for all of the family. Over the next few weeks, there will be various communications from the PTA with many ways to get involved. The raffle tickets have already started to come in and there are some fantastic items to bid for in the Silent Auction.
Great news!! Sponsorship is building for our ‘Richmond to Brussels 2019’ Cyclists! Any donation, big or small, is very gratefully received and will go directly towards their target to raise funds for our Infant Playground with the installation of new play equipment, including a sports wall and a tugboat. Your generous support will really help to motivate our 22 riders with this amazing 210 mile challenge! Please make your donation via the PTA Sponsored Cycle JustGiving webpage – thank you: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/r2b *please see note below.
The school will come together just after 9:00 a.m. on Friday 17th May to wish our cyclists good luck and send them off with a big cheer! Please do come along and show your support – all are welcome. A few of our cyclists will be setting off slightly earlier at 8:00 a.m. – please do come to school at this earlier time to wave off our first group of riders.
Corporate sponsorship makes a real difference to any fund raising target. If you are aware of any possible sponsorship opportunities to support this year’s cycling event, please contact Tom Andrews on email@example.com. A flyer with details of the sponsorship opportunities is attached.
