Weekly Update 21st April 2023

Read our newsletter to find out what has been happening in school this week and upcoming events ...

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you all had a lovely Easter and some relaxation over the holiday period.

The Summer Term has started with mixed weather but well done to so many of the children for wearing their summer uniforms this week. Let’s hope that we have some sunshine to match it soon!

The children have returned to school with a fantastic attitude. Our Y6 pupils in particular, who are now in their last term at St Elizabeth’s, are working very hard towards their Y6 National Curriculum tests which will begin on 9th May. They are keen to make the most of every opportunity ahead of them this term.

Calendar of Events

We have sent out the calendar of events for this term by ParentMail today. More dates may be added to this over the coming weeks but please do take a look at the key events for your child’s class and our upcoming PTA events.

Knowledge Organisers

We will be sending home the Termly Topic Information for parents and carers on Monday. In the meantime, please do visit your child’s class page on the school website where you will find the Knowledge Organisers which contain the key learning for your child in every subject this term.

Virtual Worry Box

Also, in the Year Group section of the website, you will find our new Virtual Worry Box. The children were shown this in assembly this week and they understand that if they have a worry or problem that they would like to tell a staff member about, they can do this by clicking on the Virtual Worry Box. They understand that we all have worries from time to time and it is good to talk about them and share them at home and in school. School staff will take discrete and supportive action in response to children’s concerns in the same way they do when children post worries in the real life Worry Boxes in classes.
