Weekly Update 5th May 2023

Read our newsletter to find out what has been happening in school this week and upcoming events ...

Dear Parents and Carers,

Coronation of King Charles

Thank you very much to the Y6 parents for all their hard work today in organising the cream tea for the Coronation of King Charles. A wonderful way to mark the event and the sun has even come out too!

In assembly children have learnt about the anointing of a monarch and what to look out for as they watch the Coronation ceremony tomorrow. They were also shown the Coronation Time Capsule which we will be filling with items that reflect our school at this moment in time. If you or your child have a great idea of something to put in our time capsule, please do send it into school on Monday 15th May.

Y6 National Curriculum Tests (SATs) Week

Next week, our Y6 children will be taking their National Curriculum tests. All Y6 children are encouraged to come into school at 8:15 a.m. each morning next week for a breakfast of pastries and juice and a relaxed start to the day. Y6 parents, please help your child to do their best by ensuring that they get to bed at a good time on Monday, ahead of the grammar and spelling test on Tuesday morning.
