Dear Parents and Carers,
We have made it to the end of the summer term and we can all start our summer break knowing that together, we have achieved some amazing things this year!
The end of the school year is a time to reflect on what we have done well and start planning for what we can do even better. It is also a time to say thank you to all those people who have helped our school to continue to be such a very special place…
First of all I would like to say thank you to our children who make our jobs in school so rewarding. Our children have worked hard all year and have shown such perseverance and determination across many activities. They come into school with smiles every day and are always such good company – we are very proud of them!
I would like to thank all of you, our parents, for supporting your child’s education this year. Your involvement and interest in their school enables them to thrive and makes a huge difference. Thank you for working with us and for supporting our many school events this year. I would especially like to thank the PTA Chairs, Liza and Susannah, the PTA Committee, and all the class reps, for all they have done to build our community and raise funds for the school – they have been incredible!
I would like to thank our whole staff team for another great year. Our staff in all roles, work tirelessly to give our children the very best school experience every day. They certainly deserve a relaxing holiday and on their behalf, I would like to thank you for all the kind messages and gifts you have sent – these are very much appreciated.
Finally, we have an excellent board of governors who guide the school and encourage us to continue to aim high. We are also thankful to our parish priests for their assistance and involvement in the Catholic Life of the school.
Sadly this is also a time to say goodbye and good luck to a few members of our school.
Firstly to our Y6 children, we wish them all happiness and success as they move on to their secondary schools. We are extremely proud to have been part of their educational journey and we look forward to hearing great things about them in the future.
To our Y6 parents, especially those who will be leaving us this year, thank you for being such a fantastic group of parents and for your unstinting support and generosity. We look forward to welcoming you back into school for events and keeping in touch with our school news in the future.
We wish Mrs Devine-Bloomfield and Mr Askin who are leaving us this term all the very best in the future and thank them both for all they have done for St Elizabeth’s.
And finally we wish Miss McCrossan, soon to be Mrs King, a wonderful wedding day as she gets married on 10th August.
We look forward to seeing the children back in school for the new school year on Wednesday 4th September.
Have a brilliant summer with your families,
Jane Hines and all the school staff
